VACANCY FOR PART-TIME RECEPTIONIST

Salary: Band 2 (£18,600 - £20,606 pro rata)
Due to retirement, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our small, friendly and supportive team working within our busy Dispensing General Practice Surgery.
Practice hours of work are between 8-6pm daily, this post is part time (24 hours) and will work across these hours Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be required to competently perform a broad range of medical administrative/reception duties in support of the Practice GP and staff in their delivery of high-quality family orientated healthcare.

Experience in the use of medical terminology along with Vision, Docman and other clinical systems would be beneficial, but not essential as training and support will be provided.

Phase 2 of the Flu Vaccination Programme

The Scottish Government has announced that individuals aged 60-64 years, who aren't otherwise eligible for vaccination during Phase 1 of the programme, can now be invited to attend for immunisation.  We understand that a decision will be made in late December on when to invite people aged 55-59 years who aren't otherwise eligible for vaccination.

Information for Patients

We would like to remind you of our procedures for the foreseeable future in order to minimise risk to staff, patients, guardians and carers when visiting the surgery.

Entry to the Practice will continue to be by appointment only and therefore our main entrance remains locked to limit the number of patients in the surgery.

APPOINTMENTS

Booking Appointments: We continue to triage all requests for appointments and encourage patients to engage in telephone or video consultations rather than attending the surgery for ‘face-to-face’ appointments.  If the clinician decides it is necessary for you to be seen in the Practice, this will be arranged for you.

Attending Appointments: Where possible please attend your appointment alone.  Children should attend with one parent or guardian.

Please ensure you attend on time for your appointment.  If you arrive late your appointment will be rescheduled for another time.

We advise patients not to arrive more than 5 minutes before the appointment time so as not to be waiting outside too long.

When arriving for the appointment please wear a mask, ring the door bell and hand sanitise your hands with the gel.  The clinician will meet you at the door and let you inside at your appointment time.

Cancelling Appointments: Should you be unable to attend your Telephone/video/face to face appointment please let the reception staff know so the appointment slot can be allocated to someone else.

MEDICATION REQUESTS

Please email Carradale.surgery@nhs.scot (preferable), call (01583 431376) or post through the letterbox at the left-hand side of the building.

MEDICATION COLLECTION

Please collect your medication 48 hours after ordering and between 2:00 - 4:30pm. Ring the doorbell and follow the instructions on the door.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

Video Consultations

'Near Me' is a new service which enables you to have a video consultation with Dr Elder or the Practice Nurses from the comfort of your home. Video appointments are not suitable for every type of appointment, so the Practice will advise you when it can be used.

This service is only for patients who have been provided with a video consultation appointment.  At the appointed time, please click the Start Video Call button to be taken to Carradale Surgery Near Me online waiting room. Once in the "virtual waiting room" Dr Elder or the Practice Nurse will connect to your video call at your appointment time. For further details check our Near Me Video Consultation page in the Appointments section.
