We would like to remind you of our procedures for the foreseeable future in order to minimise risk to staff, patients, guardians and carers when visiting the surgery. Entry to the Practice will continue to be by appointment only and therefore our main entrance remains locked to limit the number of patients in the surgery.
Because of the pandemic, we have changed the appointments we offer. We've made our appointments a bit longer so that we can clean our rooms between patients. We've put on more appointments, to take into account that patients may need to come in, after discussing their problem on the telephone. We have also become more adept at telephone, and VC consultations.
Booking Appointments: We continue to triage all requests for appointments and encourage patients to engage in telephone or video consultations in the first instance. If you are not sure, a telephone consultation may help plan tests that can be done before a face-to-face follow-up. If the clinician decides it is necessary for you to be seen in the Practice, this will be arranged for you.
Attending Appointments: Where possible please attend your appointment alone. Children should attend with one parent or guardian.
Please ensure you attend on time for your appointment. If you arrive late your appointment will be rescheduled for another time.
We advise patients not to arrive more than 5 minutes before the appointment time so as not to be waiting outside too long.
When arriving for the appointment please wear a mask, ring the door bell and hand sanitise your hands with the gel. The clinician will meet you at the door and let you inside at your appointment time.

You should use the above number during reception opening hours, when your call will usually be answered at the surgery. If there is no-one at the surgery, your call will transfer after 6 rings to the home or mobile number of the doctor. Occasionally the doctor may be outwith the mobile reception area, and if you are unable to make contact quickly in the event of a life-threatening emergency, you should call an ambulance on 999.
Chaperones / Interpreters
A chaperone is available for patients who are undergoing certain types of examination or procedures.
The practice is able to obtain the services of an interpreter during consultations if sufficient notice is given.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
